JSB is led by Dan Kowitz, a mindful leader with 32 years of property revenue acceleration, brand sponsorship strategy, client leadership, staff management and business operations. He is a professional with deep experience in fast-paced team environments within the brand, cause, cultural, entertainment, nonprofit, retail, sports and other sectors.
Dan has trained the sponsorship staff and created partnership strategies responsible for generating hundreds of millions for organizations like Americas Cup, American Academy of Pediatrics, Association of National Advertisers, Boy Scouts, Calgary Stampede, Detroit Red Wings, EDUCAUSE, ExxonMobil, Food Bank for New York City, Gallo Center for the Performing Arts, GoPro, Hudson Yards, National Aquarium, Navy Pier (Chicago), NBC Universal, San Francisco Travel, Smithsonian, Sporting Kansas City, Universal Studios, US Soccer, and Vancouver Canucks, among many others.
Dan spent the last 12 years at IEG in Chicago, leveraging the resources of IEG’s Client Solutions, Sponsorship Consulting, Valuation and Research Services departments to best meet the needs of clients seeking IEG’s trusted counsel, unparalleled insights and ahead-of-the-curve information.
In addition to overseeing Business Development, Client Solutions and the work of IEG’s consultants, valuation analysts and researchers, Kowitz had a role on the company’s executive committee. Dan also played a leading role in driving success for IEG clients. He brings an array of sponsorship experience—as both a successful seller and savvy sponsor—to delivering relevant, cutting-edge strategies to a diverse array of clients.
Prior to joining IEG, Dan was director of sponsorship for the American Bar Association. He previously held a similar position with the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, Mervyn’s California (a previous division of Target) and the State of California Sesquicentennial.
He also spent five years directing sponsorships for Ameritech in Chicago, where he worked with properties such as the NFL, NHL, MLB, WTA and the Senior PGA Tour.
